Its very easy friend ! Just get a print out of GATE syllabus for your discipline. Usually in every semester you will have at least two subjects which are in the GATE syllabus as it is. Do these subjects perfect in that semester. And don't ignore other subjects as they definitely have important concepts which would be useful in GATE. Also you can purchase (or get from seniors) good preparatory material such as ACE, MadeEasy, etc which you can study and solve questions in the vacations.

Hi Santosh,
As per US guidelines, you can start the process for VISA application 4 months prior to the date of admission and can formally enter the University 1 month prior to the date of admission not before that.
Also, international students are not allowed to work in US til they complete 6 months on campus. However, after completing 6 months of the course on campus, you will be allowed to work on a part time basis for 20 hours per week.
Hope it helps. Please feel free to revert. Click on the thumbs up or mark it as the best, if you found this useful.
Wish You Luck!

Abhishek you can apply for the transfer of college. You will get a 4 year mark-sheet with certificate. Your syllabus will be mapped with the syllabus of the college where you are going to take admission and then you become a regular student of the new college you join. But you cannot change college after your first year. Check the scheme from some good colleges like lovely professional univ, galgotia, chitkara etc.

I will also recommend you to choose B.Tech. Because one of the major motives of choosing b.tech is to get better jobs at higher salary after completion of course. Along this, it is also needed to concern about selecting the right college. It is one of the deciding factors for his or her career.

Hi Aditya,
There are lot of people who find their interest in some other subject and want to do something in that. There are lot of people doing this and you surely can opt for bioinformatics later, but in the present you should focus on your UG courses and do good and later on do what you want to do.
Hope this help :)
