Diploma in mechanical engineering is a job oriented educational qualification. You can go for a job in services or manufacturing sector as a junior engineer or supervisor. If you do not have any personal constraints, you may opt for lateral entry admission in B.Tech 2nd-year. You may evaluate doing AMIE for better career prospects.

Yours is distance learning or regular? If yours is a regular programme, then you are definitely eligible for Ph.D. as Welingkar regular PGDM is accredited by AIU to the Master's degree programme.
