In case, you don't get your desired college, don't settle for something mediocre. Instead of settling down for some mediocre college, it would be better if you try for some good private university. Many reputed private universities are offering B.Tech in different branches. They have different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on the basis of JEE scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even offer direct admission on basis of class 12th marks. Some of the universities also offer scholarships on basis of your performance in class 12th or JEE or their own tests. You can check the details of any of the reputed universities like VIT, Lovely, SRM, etc. All these universities have a wonderful infrastructure and world-class facilities to offer to students apart from good placements. B.Tech is a better option as it is a professional degree/ course, whereas, B.Scn and BCA are not professional but are simple/ regular degrees. These days we have many branches available for B.Tech. Some of them are there for long like ECE, CSE, EE, Mech., Civil, etc. But with the passage of time, the impact of technology has increased due to which many new branches have come up like Biotech, Food Tech., Nanotech, Agri., Mechatronics, etc. Many reputed private universities are offering these B.Tech specializations. They have different criteria for admissions. Some offer admission on the basis of JEE scores, some offer admission on basis of their own tests and some offer admission on the basis of both. Some even offer direct admission on basis of class 12th marks. Some of the universities also offer scholarships on basis of your performance in class 12th or JEE or their own tests.
