A student should complete his HSC education with English as one of the subjects. Candidate must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination.

Following are the good colleges to pursue hotel management course:
IHM, Mumbai and New Delhi
OCLD, New Delhi
AIHM, Bangalore.
Eligibility: - you should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with a minimum of 50 percent marks for seeking admission in any hotel management institute.
Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the MU-OET, NCHMCT JEE, etc. entrance exams followed by centralised counselling for allotment of institute and age limit criteria.
Age limit: 22 years for general category and 25 years for SC/ST category. However, required percentile and admission procedure varies from college to college.

If the school or college you have applied for is ready to admit you without IELTS test then you do not require to take this test. Having said that, the schools which accept students without IELTS score may not credible enough, and based on that your Student Visa may be rejected by the consulate.
I would suggest you should take the IELTS test to avoid any kind of hindrance in your student visa.
If you don't belong to a native English speaking country then IELTS and TOEFL are basically needed to determine that you have sufficient English language ability to be able to participate in study and work related activities in those countries.

To get admission in English (Hons.), your percentage in class 12 exams is considered. Every college releases its own cut off list, till no seat is left vacant. Generally, 10 lists are released.
Your percentage should be equal to or more than the percentage in the cut off lists.

Because you have not mentioned about your 12th streams. However, if you are a non-medical student than engineering entrance exams like JEE Main/Advanced and other state engineering entrance exams are good options for you. And if you are from arts and commerce than various undergraduate courses like B.Des NCHMCT (For hotel management), NIFT, NID etc. Are the good options. Further, for bio group NEET UG can be the best option. Other job related exams are as under.
