UGC NET takes place twice a year - June/ December each year. However the exact dates are not out yet. The Notification for the exam in taking place in June shall soon be released in the leading newspapers and according to which you may start applying to the same.

Although, there is negative marking in the MAT Examination but no specific mark deduction is specified by AIMA on the basis of which we could calculate that how many questions we need to answer in order to get a good score per section.
