Hi Vikas,
Although there would be a little difficulty that could be faced in terms of admissions, competitive approach etc, but if you have the zeal to pursue M.A through regular mode, I think you can achieve the same successfully.
However, many Institutes do not approve students with distance education background to appear for the M.A. admissions.

As far I would know in regards to the same, you are eligible to apply for the M.A. degree course from JNU. Post the notification of the admission is released, admissions shall take place on the basis of qualifying an entrance exam.

As your work experience is in marketing one of the specialization you could choose is Marketing, and as you are from Science background and if you have a strong hold on your Mathematical skills you can opt for Finance as your second option or can also look at Operations.

PP is a 1 year intership which gives you a industry exposure. After PP you will get GNIIT and further step, please consult to your institute. You have option to do M.Sc in IT from universities in Final in India. It is always better to get experience then move to abroad.
