Ankita, There are several careers in media in writing, production or post production. you can become a reporter, actor or getting behind the camera to direct, cinematograph or do finishing work as an editor, compositor or a VFX artist who can add reality to 3D vizualizations. you may even be a graphic artist who designs the screens, or an animator who brings stories to life as a proxy actor for onscreen characters. you can get into production, whether live or animated. You can be a story writer who writes for live and animated screens or even roll the story into a video/ pc game. you can be a script writer who would stop at nothing to give wonderful scene setups to bring the story to life. you could be an artist who designs characters or who storyboards the film for live or animated performance. you can also double up as a voice over artist who gives his/ her voice to the characters or dub for movie stars, or even be a radio star. you can alternatively look at web for a web of careers in web design, online marketing, search engine optimization, content writing, social media promoting. Any extra skill can be used in this. So it turns out to be one of the most challenging as well as satisfying careers. Sure not recommended for the weak hearted. Do remember that digital design careers (e.g. web design, graphics, UI design, animation, vfx, multimedia) give better profits since they can be delivered anywhere in the world & hence may earn in dollars - resulting in better rewards for designers. BIIB is the youngest college of Sri Balaji Society.However, it has already grown to the same stature as all the other colleges at Sri Balaji Society. This because the society does not think of itself comprising 4 different colleges but just one sole society. All the faculty at Sri Balaji Society are very respectable in the corporate world and in the education world. These faculty are rotated from semester to semester so that all the students across all the colleges can benefit from their vast experience. Thus, to answer your question, BIIB is definitely worth joining as it is an integral part of Sri Balaji Society.

Knowing how to code is a great skill. Doesn't matter if you're in sales or engineering. Start with Python. It's very powerful plus it's a lot easier to learn than C.
It really depends on what you want to achieve. I know many CEs who never do any sort of programming. It definitely isn't part of your daily activities.
But I also know a great many who do "program" as a sideline because they wanted to automate some tasks. These are very much tied to the software they use. E.g. if using something like AutoDesk's C3D chances are they do their "programming" in AutoLisp, or DotNet (C#/VBNet or more recently IronPython/-Ruby). But they've learned it more like a hobby than as part of their general work requirements. Very few of them go with other languages like C or C+ since seldom would such be a road into automation of their current software.
