There are different ways you could choose to prepare for the CAT exams. You can prepare for CAT online as enough study materials are available on the internet. Be it the sample question papers or vocabulary exercise books you can come across a wide variety of options to choose from.

There are 240 students in PGDM Core/General, and there are 3 other courses - International Business, Insurance Business Management and Retail Management - with 60 students each. Usually the average placement figures that are released, are done by considering all the courses, so roughly 420 students.

Ideally after B.COM, you should go for higher studies like LLB, M.Com, CA or CRISIL Certified Analyst Program (CCAP) or in banking sector like Diploma in Banking & Financial Services(HDBFS).
But in case you have strong inclination towards IT field, you may go ahead with either if the two provided you fulfill the eligibility:-

Non-veg food charges are nominal as far as I know. Yes its affordable and tasty as people who have it,says.
No its not compulsory to stay in hostel. But yes you should have valid reasons for not staying. I will suggest you to stay in the campus, because you will learn a lot in the 2yrs.

If u get a compartment in even 1 subject u need to clear that first, there would be no use for appearing in any entrance exam for graduation as no college would accept u as their candidate unless u get a pass certificate( which u will not get unless u pass ). compartment exam would held in july/august. result would be around august end. next year u wud be eligible to seek admission in any college
