Hello dear! you can apply for GATE,UGC-NET,CSIR-NET etc where you can get admission in top institues of this country .even there are some private universities where provides you high scholarship ans even provide you a platform where you can enhance your skills Lovely Professional University,SRM,KIIT to name a few. i have read that Lovely Professional University has a separate Research and Development for their Phd students where students can sharpen their skills.

Hey Prashant,
Almost every branch of engineering has a good scope of jobs and opportunities in Government sector. Previously it was assumed that CSE has very few jobs in Govt sector but with the launch of programs like Digital India you can be +ve for that. Generally Mechanical and civil is considered to be most job fetching in Govt sector. Also you need to select a good university to be going for govt jobs. Most PSU's ask for GATE score.
