The best scheme for you would be to take admission in a college which we can say provisional, that is you take admission in a lower degree and inform the college about your compartment. Then before the last date of admission you can give the college your pass result and you will be transferred to the next higher degree. Check this scheme from some colleges like PES, LPU etc This will save your year also.

There is no difference between first shift and second shift except the timings.The placements and study pattern all are same for both shifts.You choose MAIT or DIAS depending on their past records and placements and ot on shifts.
And placement of MAIT is quite better than DIAS having around 4.5lacs average package thsi year which is expected to rise the next year.

Considering you don't have any quota, I would say that there are no good options left. All good colleges of GGSIPU finishes at around 2k. But there are a lot of quotas in GGSIPU. So look if you fall under any quota and then you can easily see which college you can get as cut offs for every college of GGSIPU is given online.
