if the college from where you are pursueing the course is aicte and ugc approved then you need not worry about the location of the place. you should rather try to score good marks and develop your skills to get a good job in the future through campus placement.

I'd agree with Bharti and Rahul that every student with a recognized graduate degree is eligible for CAT/MAT like entrance exams. And as you've asked that you aren't having english as your subject so I'd like to tell you that there isn't any such criteria.
