I would say that your college would surely assist you with companies for your training as OJT (On-the-job-training) is a mandatory part of curriculum for all professional programs.
Apart from their assistance, you should keep a track of IT companies and institutes by making regular efforts so as not to loose in the end.

Overall, in order to pursue masters degree from universities in US you need to have:
- Good academic record, preferably 60%-70% plus in graduation.
- Relevant undergraduate degree from recognized university.
- GRE score of 300-320 plus.
- IELTS score of 6-7 bands plus or TOEFL score of 80-90 plus.

Pardon me dear aru and Dr. Sudhiranjan for differing in opinion but I would like to answer this question differently. Dear Ashish, Ph.D. is different from all other degrees and supposed to be research oriented. Research is carried out through literature survey, simulations/case studies/survey and practical experimentation. Majority of universities require certain basic subject/tools knowledge as preparatory to actual Ph.D. work and hence makes mandatory to go through 6 months of credit course. Now, if you are part time then classes are conducted in evenings and if you are regular then classes are conducted in morning. After the exams of credit course subjects, the research work of both, part time as well as regular becomes same. Since full time scholar gets stipend, the concerned institute allots him teaching or lab jobs.
The process of Ph.D comprises of many seminars and comprehensive viva before RDC/DRC in which the topic and research methodology is finalized. After RDC, research commences and upon completion, pre-thesis presentation is given to internal examiners. Once approved, thesis can be submitted.
As a rule, part-time Ph.D. takes one year more than regular Ph.D.
