Educational qualification: The educational qualification varies for the different posts for SSC CGL exam and given below:
a. Assistant Audit Officer:
Bachelors Degree in any subject from a recognized University
Desirable Qualification: CA/CS/MBA/Cost & Management Accountant/ Masters in Commerce/ Masters in Business Studies.
b. Junior Statistical Officer:
Bachelors Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level OR
Bachelors Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
c. All Other posts:
Bachelors Degree from any recognized University or Institute
Note: Candidates appearing in Final year of graduation can apply for SSC CGL 2017 however they must have the essential qualification on or before 1st August 2017.
Age Limit: Candidates of 18 to 32 years old are eligible for the SSC CGL exam. here are some age relaxation for the reserved categories according to govt. norms.
Exam Pattern: SSC CGL exam is being conducted in 4 tiers as follows:
Tier-I is online mode exam which consists 100 questions of four subjects.
Tier-II is the objective type multiple choice question form two compulsory subjects while two optional subjects are for some posts
Tier-III exam is a descriptive exam in Hindi or English to check the writing skills of the candidates
Tier-IV exam is conducted for selected posts. it is Computer proficiency and typing speed test
