Entrance Test pattern for M.Sc Counselling Psychology is- We provide management quota admission in Christ University. The test will be for the duration of two hours. Test will consist of 120 questions of 60 marks.
In Part A, Questions will be asked from the following topics-
1. General Aptitude
Logical and analytical reasoning, Decision making, Linguistic skills (30 questions)
2. Basic Psychology
History, Schools of thought in Psychology; Perception, Motivation, Personality, Learning, Social psychology (15 questions)
3. Current Affairs
General knowledge/ awareness about world around us (5 questions)
4. Research Aptitude
Basics of research methodology (5 questions)
5. Ethical concerns ( 5 questions)
Part B consist of Counselling Psychology.

It is more than enough. U just need to give 6 hours a day. Just follow the following steps.
DILR
Do as many DI-LR sets for practice. Do solve all the questions from CAT 2001 to CAT 2008. The more you expose yourself to different types of DI and LR, the better it would be. Apart from the CAT papers, solve the questions from your prep material.
VRC
There are two types of VRC questions:
1. Those that are based on knowledge - Grammar & Vocabulary based questions
2. Those that are based onunderstanding of paragraph(s) and logic- Reading Comprehension, Para Jumbled, Para Completion, Para Summary, Critical Reasoning
Of the above two, the latter is something that you must get a strong hold of. Since it is not based on prior knowledge, practice can help you score high. Focus on accuracy.
Quant
This is probably the tricky part. I would suggest that you ensure that you know how to solve almost all of Level 1 questions. That would mean that you must have the basics of all areas in place. Then, look at doing depth in a couple of areas. If I look at the past CATs, Number Theory & Algebra dominates the CAT. There is a bit of risk attached to picking & choosing Quant topics.
In any case, use your Mocks as a strong prep tool. Analyse each Mock thoroughly and let mock tell you what areas you need to work on.
