Hi,
CPL alone doesn't help you land in a cockpit of an airplane. Most of the airlines are hiring CPL holders having type rating done or are willing to do so. Although there are some major airlines like Emirates, Etihad or in India we can say Indigo hiring senior officer pilots on the basis of unblemished past career who have already done some flying hours, satisfying the entry criteria, can also apply for the job. Coming back to you it may take you a year or two after getting your type rating done to fly an airplane.

You should have a rank around 300 to 500, if the paper is of 360 to 370 then you have to get minimum 300+ marks, but the matter of fact is the toughness of the paper, if paper is of tough level as we saw in 2016 then the marks around 240+ would be enough to get that rank. The reservation also play a big role in the seat allocation. You have to work very hard and you will get the fruit.
Cheers!
