CA is a degree provided by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. It is to be said as top most degree in world of commerce as of today. It covers Taxation, Law, Accounts, Audit, Finance, Costing, and etc. core subject.
It covers mainly 3 levels namely CPT, IPCC, Final.
CPT is an Entrance exam for CA course , after completion of 10+2 you are eligible to give an exam of CPT. it covers multiple choice questions., if you have completed graduation with 55% or more, No need for CPT.
For IPCC, it covers Group 1 with four subjects & Group 2 with three subjects, it can be done within a year from clearing CPT.
It covers 3 years article ship after clearing Group 1 or both group of IPCC.
For final, at completion of article ship training, you are eligible for giving final exam. it covers 2 groups with 4 subject in each. By clearing it world is yours.
Exam is to be taken by the institute twice in a year, i.e. May / June and Nov / Dec.

The old age electives are primarily marketing, finance, operations, human resources, IT etc.
The new age electives are analytics, entrepreneurship , supply chain management etc.
Some of these derive from the old ones like SCM from operations, analytics from IT and are highly specialized ones.
They focus specifically on a particular area and you would learn quite a lot about it, but chances are you would also learn a lot of garbage that you won't need and since in business everything is connected, you would loose out on other areas,
Most of the B-schools offer specialization in the second year where you need to choose some specific number of subjects in a domain to gain specialization in it. For example in my college, out of the 15 subjects, 8 has to be from a particular domain to be specialized in it.
So, I would recommend you to choose a broad old age specialization with relevant subjects in the field and rest of the subjects you can take some key new age subjects to enhance learning.
