Animation calls for a wide bouquet of skills from traditional art skills to articulation skills, storytelling to aesthetic appreciation, and creativity to technical prowess.
Before going for any super specialization, do learn all the relevant Skills of Animation right from pre to post production,. Mostly creative aspirants enters Animation for their Passion. Once you have the complete knowledge of pipeline then start working in some company. Do note that you will be able to get selected anywhere based on Short Film project created by you in the process of learning and live project done by you. Most companies ask you to appear for Test to judge your skills. Once you have entered any decent job then decide which segment you are have expertise !!

Dear Vinay, let me make you clear that in engineering, distance mode of education is not authorized by AICTE simply, because technical concepts can not be understood by merely referring study materials otherwise anybody could have purchased books from market and become an engineer. All those institutes who are offering distance mode B.Tech. are not valid institutes. Secondly, automobile does not have few core subjects but many and hence can not be learnt side by side. For that you will have to pursue B.Tech. in automobile branch. However, you can pursue M.Tech. or MS (from abroad) in automobile after completing your degree in mechanical. If you pursue MS from UK, USA, Germany or France; your learning graph in automobile will be exponential as there, practicals are through live consultancy projects of industry.
