Dear Raju, I am not aware of the Automobile Engineering programme at Chitkara University, but being alumni of LPU, I can provide details of this programme at LPU with you. My friend did B.Tech in Auto engineering at LPU. LPU provides numerous opportunities in all the terms like Live projects and internships from companies that add experience in automobile engineering graduates. Annually, a number of championships and competitions, such as Go Kart, racing, Robowar are organized by the university to provide students with a platform for innovation and development. Moreover, Mechanical engineering students designed a futuristic Formula One Racing Car at SAEINDIA 2017 Noida. I was completely flabbergasted by the designs of cars, robots, and new inventions done by them. Talking about recent placements, when it comes to Automobile Engineering 95% to 98% of our seniors have been placed in top-notch companies such as HERO MOTORCYCLES, HYUNDAI, ESCORTS, TAFE and many more. There are continuous efforts by faculty to contribute to the upliftment of student's careers. LPU provides adequate opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure a good placement. This field requires lots of dedication & hard work to learn the profession and achieve success. The automotive engineering career option is very creative & fast-paced. It is one of the most preferred careers by engineers. The job opportunity as an Automobile Engineers is increasing due to the rapid growth of auto components in the automobile sector. This industry is very diverse, intensely competitive & highly globalized. Many vehicle producers turn out hundreds of models, which change at regular intervals. Generally, an automotive engineer designs new machines and improves the performance of existing machines. An Automotive Engineer can work in national and multinational automobile companies, Defense services, Service stations, and Private transport companies. First of all, understand that no one can reliably tell you the exact minimum CAT percentile that you need to get an interview call from IIM Bangalore. The shortlisting criteria keeps on changing every year. Broadly speaking, some weights are assigned to each of class 10th, 12th, graduation score, and work experience (both in terms of number of years and relevance). Also, extra points are given to non-engineers (academic diversity) and for gender diversity. My take on this would be that past is already written and there is nothing you can do to change it. Your aim ideally should be to score as much as possible and not restrict yourself by aiming for a certain minimum percentile.

1. About MBA (e.g. why MBA, why from "insert an IIM name", which specialization, etc).
2. GK and/or Current Affairs.
3. Work experience(e.g. role in the company, recent happenings in your company, etc). Applicable to a non-fresher.
4. Graduation(e.g. favorite subject, any project work/internship done, etc). Generally applicable to a fresher.
5. Extra-curriculars(e.g. hobbies and interests)
6. Strengths and weaknesses, and how to overcome them.
7. Future goals.
8. Miscellaneous(e.g. Family background, any other interview call, etc).
