Yes, you can appear for UGC NET JRF exam if you have scored 56% aggregate marks in Masters. Because one of the basic requirement of the exam is that the candidates should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in post graduation.
As you want to apply for JRF NET exam then you have to fulfill age criteria also I. e. your age must not more than 30 years.
NTA has announced the dates of UGC NET December 2018. According to this the exam will be held from 9th Dec to 23rd Dec 2018. The online registration will be started from 1st September and ended up on 30th September 2018.
