UPSC examination is conducted every year and on the basis of this examination a number of IAS, IPS, IFS officers are recruited.
UPSC conducts civil services examination every year in the month of May and June and its main exam is in the month of December. The notification for this exam comes out in the month of January end.

To be eligible :
- You need to pass graduation in any field from any recognized university.
- You are eligible if you are in the final year of graduation.
- Your age must be between 21 to 30 years. 3 and 5 years of relaxation for OBC and SC/ST respectively.
- You must be an Indian citizen.

Before starting career in software industry i would like to ask u r u very much confidant on any of the programming language.
Can u independently handle any language?
If ur ans comes YES then only think for software development line or testing line.
Every line is good only depends upon u how much depth knowledge u have. As far as salary is concerned It depends upon u how tactfully and technically u have cleared ur interview not upon the degree or certificate u have with u.
U can choose embedded system line as well for this u must have sound knowledge of C, C++ and JAVA (complete).
Now a days LAMP (Linux Apache MySql and PHP) is ultimate option for Web Development.
If ur ans goes to NO for programming then some other line as well for ur career.
If u want u can make plan in Networking line as well. Network Admin, Security Admin, System Admin for this u must have to opt RHCE+CCNA+MCITP+RHCVA & RHCSS as well. These are International Certification for Admin line.
You can do These Certifications Simultaneously with ur Graduation. So as soon as ur graduation get finished u will be ready according to the industry and u can start searching JOB.

After Diploma in Mechanical engineering you may join lateral B.Tech course in which you can directly enter into the second year. Degree course will open more opportunities for you.

To take admission, there is Lateral Entry Entrance Test or LEET which is conducted at state level. Some colleges and universities too conduct their own lateral entry tests.

If you're creative, you can always consider going for Design and Animation. However, you must check your suitability for this field. Animation is an art form and a very demanding career. It has ample opportunities for the creatively talented people. Opportunities lie in animation design, game design, graphics, storyboarding, 3d modelling, texturing and lighting, Dynamics and VFX and of course animation. However, choosing between these must be done after seeing your performance in each of these.
