After diploma in computer engineering, you may join lateral B.Tech course in which you can directly enter into the second year. Degree course will open more opportunities for you.
Procedure :
To take admission, there is Lateral Entry Entrance Test or LEET which is conducted at state level. Some colleges and Universities too conduct their own lateral entry tests.

Hi, You have not provided any information about your academics so far, if you are in job or how is it.
Please know that all the trades are good only, otherwise the institutes would freeze them. If you are from core science background or IT, then IT is in demand these days. After MBA you can look for jobs in project/program/Product management in a software services/product companies.
A combination of IT and Marketing can fetch you a job in high end product sales.
If you are from accounts or finance background, Finance stream is the best. You have tremendous job opportunities in Investment banks and financial institutions.
HR and Operations management are also good options. However, you need to see which college you are pursuing it from. for example HR from Symbi Pune is a flagship program.

As an EX branch student of engineering, you have options to pursue ME, M.Tech, MS or MBA. For admission in M.Tech course to IITs/NITs, you require to appear for GATE exam which is held in Feb month every year. The syllabus for GATE comprises of all subjects from third sem to sixth sem of your B.Tech course. Students often prepare for GATE during 7th sem but majority either do not pass or do not score high enough to get admission. In the bargain they spoil their 7th sem result as well. It is advisable to prepare after 8th sem and then give the exam.
Second option is to pursue MS from USA, Australia, Canada, UK, Singapore or Germany. Except Germany which does not ask for English language test, all other countries ask for TOEFL/IELTS test score and GRE score. to know in detail about these exams, their fees etc, log on to www.toefl.org, www.gre.org, www.ielts.org
Third option is to prepare for CAT or MAT and pursue MBA from a good B-school. CAT exam takes place in every October month but MAT exam takes place three times in a year that is Mar, Aug and Dec months.
