A scientist is a person who has scientific training or who works in the sciences. An engineer is someone who is trained as an engineer. So, to my way of thinking, the practical difference lies in the educational degree and the description of the task being performed by the scientist or engineer.

Hi Amar,
These three are totally different examination with different career growth. The SSC CGL offers central government jobs where as through PSC you would get into state services. On the other hand, JE examination is for engineers only. Through PSC, you would become a gazetted officer which would not be the case through SSC. Plus, through SSC you would liable to work all over the country as per the postings whereas, in PSC services, you would be posted throughout the state.

You can choose your career on the basis of your graduation course and if you haven't opt any particular professional or academic course for your graduation, then firstly, you have to think and judge your interest. There are various courses and options nowadays which nobody can suggest until you decide yourself that in which field you can do the best. I would suggest you to go on that path only in which you can perform well and move further in your career. Still I will tell you the courses which you can try for, Hotel Management, Media, BBA Architecture, Law, Teacher/Lecturer etc. Think, Decide and choose.
