Lateral entry is based on marks obtained in diploma. In Uttarakhand, is the govt conducting Entrance exam? Whatever books that you were referring in diploma would be useful in any such entrance exam.

Hello Rajan, well yes it matters and particularly if you are applying for a Bachelor's degree. For a PG course, your Bachelor's degree score will carry more weightage as it really depends on the university on how strictly they evaluate class 11th score.

I think you are quite confused as you said I want to do a technical degree but you are from commerce and you don't like accountancy and business studies so by commerce you can't go for B.Tech and you don't like these subjects then it is more complicated so I would suggest you to go for BCA.

There are institutes which has direct admissions and there are institutes which has NCHMCT-JEE as a component to get admissions. So if you want direct admissions then there is no need of any preparation. If your looking for NCHMCT-JEE start preparing for the exams now. BE/B.Tech or equivalent qualification in first class with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10 (average of all semesters for which results are available). Minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in section B alone for candidates with AMIE/Grad IETE qualification.
Candidates who are going to complete the above course are also eligible to apply provided final degree is available. The qualification prescribed and the benchmarks are only the minimum requirement and fulfilling the same does not automatically make candidates eligible for Written Test.
