Hi Isha, Undoubtedly Germany is the best but to study in Germany, you must have 13 years education that is one additional year of formal education after 12th. You can be eligible after clearing IIT JEE Advanced too. Also, you must know German language. Other good countries include USA, Singapore, Japan, etc. 1-year drop is alright if you use the period constructively, like by taking exams, doing voluntary work, doing a short course, learn a foreign language, etc.

I think, you are creative person. Go for English hons. Given you an opportunity to explore a new literary world writing about stories, article, and debates and of course, we all know that pen is mightier than sword. Even though IITs have a fantastic reputation, studying there is not cheap. On an average, only the tution fee is ranging about Rs.2 lakhs per year in IITs. Of course, they offer plenty of scholarships to deserving students.
