If you have an average profile look for universities in top 20 to 50 or 60 to make admission possibilities easier for you. Go through their websites and understand their requirements, aids etc. Applying early and during the first rounds of admission is the key to a successful application.

Basically, Journalism courses are taught in 2 languages in various states. They are English and the official language of the state. Try to find good universities and ask whether they are providing Kannada medium for Journalism course. As per my knowledge, many institutions are providing the course with both languages.

Currently, there are two engineering colleges only offering admission via CUSAT CAT examination. These are:
1) School of engineering, Kochi
2) College of engineering (CUCEK), Allapuzha
However, I would suggest you to go for School of Engineering because it has better infrastructure and faculty members.
