Unfortunately, it is not possible to take admission based on last year's CET marks. It's big heart burning issue for those students who could not give CET due to some reason. This is planned to be addressed in the new format that is likely to be implemented from the next year.

You said that you want to become an automatics designer. Even if there is any such course, it's use is rather limited. Even Indian companies are taking design inputs from special companies abroad. However, if that is your passion then you need to get job in the design department of an automobile major. Merely studying further will not help you.

The faculty should be good and institute should have actual devices to practice on, no simulators. You should try to get in touch with students and figure out, if they are satisfied. There are always one or two famous teacher in institute, make sure you join there batch.
