1. If you are aiming at a career in banking, finance, marketing, then you can continue with B.Com.
2. If you are inclined more towards media line, then mass communication is a better idea.
3. If you continue with B.Com, may be you slowly and gradually develop interest in the subjects. However, you can pursue short courses in journalism, mass communication, etc. in order to be in touch with your choice of career.
4. You can drop this year (Pursue short courses in journalism, mass communication) and plan out for graduation courses in media, admission for which usually starts in the month of June - July.
5. You also have the option to pursue Masters in mass communication after B.Com. However, the ideal options would be LLB, M.Com, MBA, etc.
6. One of the best approaches, while deciding on your subjects/ stream is to opt for or look at doing something that you are good at and would enjoy keeping in mind your personality, aptitude, ability, strengths and career goals.

There are various MBA entrance exams one can give, depending upon the B-school one wants to target for admission. Generally, they include questions based on GK, mathematics, English and logical reasoning. Some includes negative marking as well. Majority of them are computer-based tests with objective type questions.
The top entrance exams conducted in India are as follows, with some of the top B-schools accepting its scores mentioned alongside:
1. CAT: All IIMs, SP Jain, MDI, JBIMS, etc.
2. XAT: XLRI, XIMB, SP Jain, etc.
3. SNAP: All colleges under Symbiosis University (SIBM, SCMHRD, SIIB, etc.).
4. NMAT: NMIMS (Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore), MISB Bocconi, etc.
5. IIFT: IIFT (New Delhi, Kolkata).
6. TISSNET: TISS.
7. MBA CET: JBIMS, Sydenham, KJ Somaiya, Welingkar, etc.
8. CMAT: GIM, XIME, KJ Somaiya, GLIM (Chennai), etc.
9. MAT: TAPMI, Sydenham, IPE, etc.

Sorry for being too late to reply. You'll get a lot of information about the placement by the college soon. Still, I'm giving you the information. Generally, the mass communication students get placed in various fields. Trainee journalist, assistant photographer, assistant of film production people like director, screenplay writer, cinematographer, production manager, art director, sound designer, editor and others, content writer, creative content maker in an advertisement making company, public relation officer, documentary film maker, assistant media analyst etc. Also, one can start his/her own startup and can do almost all the jobs as a freelance.
In the beginning, one doesn't get a lot of money, not even a handsome salary. But depending on one's capabilities, creativity etc. the salary grows fast. Placed students in 2016 by the placement cell of SXCKOL got a salary ranging from 3 lakhs to 4.5/4.8 Lakhs per annum. Others who got placed on their own they got a salary ranging from Rs 1.8 Lakhs to 5 lakhs per annum. One shouldn't expect a lot in the beginning because here experience matters. Yeah, there is some area where freshers are in demand so those fields can give one a little bit more money.
