Hello Shilpi,
You can get Admission in B.Tech Food Technology on the basis of your Score of Engineering Entrance Exams mostly JEE (Joint Entrance Exam ) and 12th Percentage. Eligibility Criteria to take Admission in B.Tech is that the candidate should have successfully completed the 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with minimum 50% marks is eligible. There is nothing like best books for CLAT. There are good books which help in preparation. First I would recommend you the books which are widely used for this exam and then I will give my strategy/preparation tips. A) English - Word Power Made Easy (Vocabulary), Any RC booklet, Grammar rules can be done through videos available online/coaching classes (there are books like Wren and Martin also), idioms and phrases can be done from the numerous sources available on the internet. B) Mathematics - Quicker Maths by M. Tyra, Quantitative aptitude by RS Aggarwal

Distance B.E/B.Tech courses are not valid for employment and higher education purpose as per AICTE guidelines. Hence never do these. Its better to do lateral B.E/B.Tech or Part regular courses.

As per the information available on GITAM college website the admissions in B.Tech programs are based on the performance of GAT (UGTP) an entrance test. Further, 60% marks are required in PCM and aggregate at class 12th level. Hence, GITAM does not offers admission to engineering Diploma holders.

Hi, entry requirements differs from institute to institute. Masters options are also limited, you will find graduate certificate programs at the highest level abroad and PG Diploma in India. To study abroad, generally they will ask for IELTS depending on the institution they may also assess other skills. You should go through institute websites and check.
