In engineering, every branch has it's own benefits, advantage and future scope. The only thing you should keep in mind is your interested area of study. If you are good at machines then you can go for mechanical, if you have knowledge about chips and electronics then you can go for EC, if you are good at Computers and problem solving approach then you can go for CS or IT.
