Firstly there is no disadvantage if you gng to opt math subject in 11 bcz that will help you in futher education like Bca, ca , actuarial science , economic and even if you opt b.com hons or any other programme that will raise you logical reasoning bcz that option will come in every entrances after 12 class for admission in different universities.
Even this subject help you to crack the govt exam like banks, lic or any financial sector job if you foundation is strong

There is no term like 'External MBA. I think you are referring to MBA through distance education or through Part time courses or as a private candidate. All said and done the minimum requirement to take admission in MBA is graduation with at least 50% marks.
