First of all I would like to mention that not all the branches of ICFAI University comes under UGC recognition so please check whether the programme you are going for is from one the branches of ICFAI which are UGC Recognized. Moreover, If you are fresher advisable would be that you should opt for full time MBA programme rather than going for a Correspondence programme as such programmes are beneficial for those working professionals who have good amount of work experience say around 5-7 years and are looking for a career growth within their current company or industry.

As rightly said by Upma, although, extra curricular and work experience is not the part of eligibility criteria but it will definitely be a feather to your CAP. NSS can be one of the ways; you can also look for earning some part time work experience.

As Civil Service Examinations are tough nut to crack it would be advisable that you join some coaching Institute as the faculty their can give you proper guidance and direction as to how and what all you should prepare. However, if you are planning for self study then I would suggest you to first clear fundamentals of the subjects you are going to opt for and then practice to clear the fundamentals I would suggest you to go through the NCERT books of 9th till 12th level, Apart from this there are several subject books available in the market such as Nicholas Henry, Mohit Bhattacharya etc. for PA Romila Thapar, R S Sharma etc

You may have to consult an advocate and announce in the news paper that this is your name and was wrongly printed. With the released notice in the news paper, you have to go to the board and submit along with the application form. This process will take at-least 3 weeks to three months. If your name is wrongly spelt from from your SSC then some boards my reject the change of name.
