Virti.First, You should understand the difference between Psychology and Psychiatry. Psychology is the study of human behaviour and mental processes. Psychiatry is the study of mental illnesses. B.com does not prepare anyone for a career in Psychology or Psychiatry. You must have a revelant degree in that field. Psychology is a wide discipline and involves both Art and Science together. In India, the option to study in Psychology is limited with the students who preferably had Psychology as a subject in +2 level or have studied Humanities as their stream. But even at the graduate level you can find many students with no such education background in psychology picking this stream. But coming to pursuing Masters, the options are lesser for non-psychology students.
However the eligibility may differ depending on the institutes and you can refer to the following link to know about the various institutes in India to offer you Masters in Psy

I cannot exactly comment on the present job scenario prevailing in the UK, but if if you talk about genetical engineering: its one of the best engineering course, and has a bright prospects.
Getting the job in UK or for that matter, in any part of the world, depends entirely upon the caliber and knowledge level of the individual.
