Generally, to pursue engineering you need to pass plus two or higher secondary education in Science stream (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) from a recognized board.
From next year onwards, there will be a new entrance exam for engineering i.e., ISEET. It is common engineering entrance examination for admissions into the IITs and NITs for admission year 2013 and therefore is expected to be conducted in either March or April 2013.
