Academic background of a software tester should be in computer science. A B.Tech / BE, MCA, BCA, B.Sc. in computers will land you a job easily.
If you do not hold any of these degrees than you must complete a software testing certification like ISTQB and CSTE which help you learn software development/ test life cycle and other testing methodologies.

You should start with a portion in which you are strong. Like best would be to start with mathematical aptitude. This portion needs more time and preparation. With this you can go with data interpretation. After this go for logical reasoning and then language (English grammar).
If you will you require more time and you are weak, keep that subject or portion for last. Assess your strengths and weaknesses and then start preparing accordingly. You can choose a combination of well-versed portion and the weakest portion simultaneously. Prepare a time table that you have to complete a course in stipulated time.

Brother, CA requires 50 percent to apply for IPCC or else take a long way. Start from CPT. You would required 9 months of article-ship before you go for IPCC in direct entry. So, it would be easier for you to start from beginning CPT.
