Advertising and Pr is a very good course and has a lot of demand in the media world. Advertising field requires a lot of creativity and innovation. In advertising one has to do a lot of research in order to study the demand of the product in the market, then you need to design the advertisement according to the target consumers depending upon the age group, gender etc. Thus making the advertisement field more interesting and challenging. Now for PR i would say that it requires more of personality and communication skills, one needs to get his or her work done. A PR is basically the face of the organization and is responsible for all the client meetings and getting business for the organization, so one has to be really convincing and of course PR pays "well".For more info you may visit the below links

Now for job opportunities i would say that advertising has its own market value and somewhere job opportunities also depends on the projects that you undertake during your course. With few good projects you can try your luck in good AD agencies and marketing houses. For PR, i would say it has global demand.

It would be unfair to compare these two courses as the two are entirely different and you should decide among the two depending on your area of interest and your eligibility. If you belong to science field along with Maths and have interest in Mechanical discipline then go for B.E in mechanical and if you are from non-science background i.e. commerce and are keen to pursue IT as a career then go for BCA course.
In either cases, it is your interest that will matter the most and your zest to pursue a career in the respective domain.
