If you are looking for a Masters level degree in India, all the Masters degrees are for two years. Getting a Job would largely depend on your Individual capabilities, the field you have chosen, your performance on the program and how you use the knowledge earned at the time of Job Placements.

If you are in second year of your B.Com, what I could gauge is that you must have got admission on the conditional basis to clear your P.U.C till some suggested time period, so if you are not able to do that then the University probably would not allow you to sit for your b.Com second Year's Examinations.
However, I would suggest you to contact the University directly from where you are doing your B.Com and request them to sit for the examinations as it is completely in the hands of the University to extend your conditional offer.

Did you mean placement in terms of inernship during the studies?
Some programmes do offer this opportunity as part of the course requirement, eg. Engineering.
In terms of job prospects after graduation, there are certainly opportunities available, especially being in a city like Perth, which is currently one of the fastest growing economies in Australia. You just need to be willing and active enough in your search of these opportunities.
