Both are similar. MSc Comps or IT is after BSc Comps or IT. Since a candidate has already done 3 years Comps or IT at BSc level, so after it MSc is 2 years course. MCA is after any bachelor degree say BA, BCom, BSc which may or may not have comps or IT subjects so MCA starts from scratch and so it takes 3 years. Many candidates feel that since MCA is of more duration so it may be better, but it is not so. In Industry both are considered at par.
