It is not compulsory; you can stay wherever you want to. The college generally specifies whether a student should stay only in a hostel or not. Just ensure your residence is in close proximity of the college to save on the traveling time.

For MP.Ed Course, the entrance test will be of 75 multiple choice objective questions for 75 marks. The remaining 25 marks will be awarded by the Dept. of Physical Education, Osmania University for the Sports achievements of the candidates
The entrance test will be of 90 minutes duration

BE/B.Tech or equivalent qualification in first class with an aggregate minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10 (average of all semesters for which results are available). Minimum of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84 in section B alone for candidates with AMIE/graduation IETE qualification.
Candidates who are going to complete the above course in the academic year 2016-17 are also eligible to apply provided final Degree is available by 31/8/2017. The qualification prescribed and the benchmark are only the MINIMUM requirement and fulfilling the same does not automatically make candidates eligible for Written Test.
