Hi,
VISA does not get rejected only because you have back logs, please make sure that you clear all your backlogs before applying for VISA, i.e. you should not have any backlogs and must have cleared your B.Tech before applying for VISA.
In order to pursue MS from US, you need to have:
Good academic record, preferably 60% plus in graduation.
Relevant undergraduate degree from recognized university.
GRE score of 1200-1300 plus.
TOEFL score of 85-90 plus.
