Both the options are open for you.
If you think you can score about 70-80 percentile plus in CAT with a year gap then you may surely go for CAT preparations
But if you think you will not be able to score that much of percentile then you may take admissions this year.
However I would personally suggest you to work for 2-3 years.
The advantage of this step would be:
- You will gain relevant work experience.
- After working for few years you will know which specialization to opt in MBA that can further enhance your career prospects.
- Candidates with work experience will have competitive advantage over other candidates with no work exper

In order to pursue distance MBA you need to be graduate in any field.
However there are some institutes which may require atleast 50% marks in graduation to be eligible to pursue distance MBA program.
