I can totally understand your dilemma in this case as I have been through the same.
Now, you need understand that there are two important things to consider while seeking admission.
(i) A branch of your choice but from a not so good institute = Not much value.
(ii) A not so demanding engineering branch from a good institute= Not much value either.
In your case, bot the institutes are good and at power with each other, it will be difficult to say which is better as the definition of better varies from person to person depending on various parameters. Also, it will not be right to comment on any institute as it might lead to a biased opinion. However, it is advisable for you to keep in mind the various parameters such as
- Recognition (UGC/AICTE)
- Success Rate
- How old the institute is
- Batch Size
- Course details
- Faculty
- Infrastructure
- Alumni/Student Feedback
- Fees

A BBA gets you entry-level positions in many corporations and factories. You would do lot of backend work, and provide support services to your seniors. Exceptional candidates could expect to do some customer interface, though it is very rare. Also invariably, you would hit the glass ceiling very fast, and would require an MBA to move up the ladder.
Since the degree will equip a student of BBA with the basic knowledge about corporate management and skills it will help them understand the diverse functioning of a company.
BBA graduates can look for jobs in sales and marketing department of companies as members of sales teams or as management trainees.
After completing a BBA, students should consider broadening their horizon in order to qualify for top executive positions and promotions.
A Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a graduate-level degree that is often desired by employers for positions such as CEO or COO.

Well in order to get into Merchant Navy, you need to pursue Marine Engineering or a degree in Nautical Science. The minimum eligibility for courses in Nautical science and Marine engineering is 10+2 or an equivalent examination with physics, chemistry and mathematics.
Direct entry to Merchant Navy is also possible - students who have completed their 12th with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) are eligible to join as Deck Cadets and a student holding a bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Technology Engineering could also join the Merchant navy as a Engine Cadet/ Fifth Engineer/ Junior Engineer. Direct entry Deck Cadets are required to undergo basic pre-sea training arranged by the recruiting company itself and the direct entry Engineering cadets are preferred to do a Pre-sea course of 9 months duration.

The Basic eligibility criteria to join Merchant Navy is:
Aspirant must have passed 12th class with physics, chemistry and maths as their main subject.
They must have completed their graduation in the field of Marine Engineering or Nautical Science to join the engineering or navigation fields in the merchant navy.
Candidates completing their graduation in Technical, Mechanical or electrical engineering field are applicable to join the Merchant Navy as Fifth Engineer or Engine Cadet.
