Placements for IT are quite good.the faculty is decent.
The thing is you have to do the coding part your selves so faculty doesn't really matter.
And placements are really nice.
The highest package is around Rs.27 lakhs per annum and 100% placements are there.
Average package for IT is Rs.5-6 lkhs per annum.

You have done diploma in mechanical subject whereas in JEE questions are from maths , physics, chemistry.same is the case for NIT which takes admission from AIEEE.

We can definitely help you, but you need to tell in which subject/course you are interested as your question seems incomplete. You want bridge course in which subject. And as far as my knowledge their is no institute which offers 2 years graduation.

If LPU certificate is not good then how LPU alumni is getting jobs in good companies like Google, Yahoo, Amazon, etc. Don't go by the rumours being spread by people who either are not able to get admission there or didn't get a job because they didn't perform well academically as well as in interviews.
If you are going to study hard, perform well academically, will do well in your interview no one can stop you from having a good job.
