1. Eligibility
a) Educational Qualification Any Degree from a recognized University
b) Age Limit The Minimum and Maximum age limit as on 1st August is as followsi)OBC, MBC - 21 & 33 Yearsii) SC/ST - 21 & 35 Yearsiii) OC - 21 & 30 Years
II. Admission Procedure
Advertisement for selection of candidates will be published in leading dailies in the month of July/August. Applications for admission to the coaching programme are to be submitted in the month of August/September.
Eligible candidates will have to appear for a Competitive Entrance Examination for two hours with Objective type of questions (100 questions) on History of India and Indian National Movement, Indian and World Geography, Indian Polity and Governance, Economic and Social Development, General Science, Current Events and General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate change. There will be about 14 centres in TamilNadu for the Entrance Test. Based on merit and Community Reservation system, 200 candidates will be admitted in Residential coaching and 100 candidates in part time coaching.

Admission Eligibility
Candidates eligible for admission to BTAE should possess following qualifications
10 + 2 in Science stream or higher-with min 55% marks in PCM aggregate. OR Students with BSc(PCM) having minimum 55% marks in aggregate, OR Candidates with Diploma in engineering with 55% aggregate marks from a university or equivalent .(Students with BSc or diploma holders also can be admitted in the first year). For SC/ST/OBC the admission criteria is 50% marks in PCM in 10+2 in science stream.
NOTE- No rounding off would be done to arrive at minimum marks.

Final selection would be based on merit.
