Dear Tafheem, Both Amity University and LPU are good. But being alumni of LPU, I would be able to share the details of LPU only. Good Placement: Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package available for the Engineering programme is 42 LPA till now. Scholarships: LPU provides very good scholarships to bright students with good academic records, sports, or extracurricular activities achievement. LPU also helps students in the Education loan facility. Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, Iims, and top-ranked universities all over the world. The Indian Institute of Astrophysics is a premier institute devoted to research in astronomy, astrophysics and related physics. You can do B.Sc (Hons.) and join IIA for higher studies to become astronomer.
An astronaut is a person trained by a human space flight program to command, pilot or serve as a crew member of a spacecraft. Although, generally reserved for professional space travelers, the terms are sometimes applied to anyone who travels into space including scientists also. Following are the general eligibility criteria to become astronaut:
(a) Bachelor's degree from a recognised university in engineering, science, or mathematics, etc. An advanced degree is desirable.
(b) At least 1,000 hours pilot-in-command time in jet aircraft. Flight test experience is highly desirable.
(c) Medically fit
India's first two astronauts were from Indian Air Force Fighter Pilot branch.
In India it may be difficult to pursue both careers of astronaut and astronomer simultaneously.
