The civil services examination is a nationwide competitive examination in India conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment to various civil services of the Government of India, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) among others.
The examination consists of the following three stages:
Stage I: Preliminary examination - A qualifying test advertisied in Feb-March and held in June-July each year. Results are published in mid-August.
Stage II: Main examination - Held in October every year. Results are usually published in the second week of March.

If you will not be able to get good marks in maths and have an elective subject as a sixth one then you can apply.
And the sixth one should be selected in class 11th only according to me. Also, it is only available in some schools.
