Congratulation for such an amazing rank. Yes, you can surely get admission in any of the branch in NIT, Rourkela, as you got a good rank. All the facilities are very good in NIT, Rourkela. Starting from infrastructure to hostel facility all the facilities are very good. The placements here are good. The companies come and accept the students with good packages. PSUs recruit with the highest packages. Renowned companies like Schneider electric recruit the students for the internship as well as pre-placement offer. Almost all the branch has an average package of about 5-6 lakhs per annum.
It has the second the largest campus area in India, and infrastructure is the beauty of this college. The institute has cricket ground, football ground, volleyball courts, an indoor hall for badminton, swimming pool, basketball courts, and court for lawn tennis are available for the students. The faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable with apt knowledge of the theoretical and practical application and have high experience. The students are impaired with apt knowledge of the subject and helping the students to get deep into the understanding. They inspire us a lot. It has cultural fest and technical fest as the major attractions, along with other small fests through the year. It has a wide scope for extracurricular activities owing to the various clubs. GNM course is a 3 to 4-year diploma in paramedics. Nursing and Midwifery focuses provision of care to individuals, families, and communities.The course can be pursued after successful completion of the 10+2 level of education in the Science stream from a recognized educational Board, with a minimum aggregate score of 40%.
Most institutes offering the course admit students based on performance in a relevant entrance test. Admission process generally varies across colleges. A few institutes also provide direct admission based on the candidates performance at the 10+2 level.
B.Sc. Nursing is a Degree program. Admission to B.Sc Nursing is on the basis of an entrance examination/merit in qualifying examination. Eligibility - Age 17 to 25 years. Yuvaraja's College, Mysore offers various UG and PG courses under its curriculum viz. B.Sc/ BCA/ BBA/ M.Sc/ Integrated M.Sc/ MA/ MBA and Ph.D. Each UG course is of 3 years duration and each PG course is of 2 years duration except Integrated M.Sc which is of 5 years duration. Application form is provided at the college's office and candidates have to collect it in person by paying the application fee. Those who have passed 10+2/ PUC in Science stream from a recognised Board are eligible to get admission in B.Sc programme, whereas applicants who have passed the Pre-University examination in any stream are considered eligible to get admission in BBA programme.
For BCA minimum eligibility criteria is pass in PUC/ 10+2 with Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects. Students who hold B.Sc or equivalent degree are considered eligible to get admission in M.Sc programme, for MA course candidates with BA or equivalent degree from a recognised university are eligible for admission.
Similarly, candidates who have Bachelor's Degree in any specialisation are eligible to get admission in MBA programme. Candidates with Post-Graduate Degree in relevant discipline from a recognised University are eligible to apply for admission to the PhD programme. Selection of the candidates for UG programs is done on the basis of their merit in the qualifying examination as per the norms of the University of Mysore. Admission to PG courses is given based on the students marks obtained in Bachelor's Degree course. Admission to Ph.D programme is granted as per the candidates merit in PG degree course and marks obtained in interview round conducted by the University of Mysore.
