Yes, each department generates the merit list based upon the Academic scores plus the PU entrance exam score. Moreover, there are a specific number of seats available for a particular course. For example, B.Sc Physics has 50 seats. If you get your name within top 1040 candidates in the merit list, then admission is guaranteed.

50% marks at graduation level is the minimum requirement for seeking admission in MBA. Since you have only 46% are interested in MBA I am of the view that you should start working on a job and after 3 years of work experience enrol for a distance MBA, part-time MBA or executive MBA.
