I am writing this answer, because I am also a mechanical engineer, basically after doing mechanical you can apply in IIM, IAS and all other civil services exam, but if you are really interested in the mechanical engineering, then I will appreciate you to choose mechanical engineering. Yes you need to score good since seats filed quickly in CSE and cutoff also goes high for CSE. Try for the TOP IIT like IIT BOMBAY IIT DELHI etc. If you score around 220 then you can easily get the IIIT through JEE Main ONLY no need to go for JEE advance. If you score good in JEE advance too then you will definitely get the IIT Delhi, IIT Roorkee etc. Talking about the private University then try for GALGOTIA, LPU, UPES, SRM and Amity

Hie shuvam. While talking about average package, both are similar. Mostly same companies visit both the colleges at same packages. What I would suggest you is apply on both the colleges. I'm currently studying in BIMM executive (marketing). I have friends in ITM as well. So for more query and discount in form filling of both the colleges comment below.

If you are planning to apply for a Bachelor's degree, then for university admissions they consider +2 percentage. Since you are graduate, you might be asked Bachelor's or Master's GPA for further studies. For PG Diploma courses, you need a minimum 5.5 GPA in 10+2.

Compared to other exams, MAT is same, but in MAT you get chances if you fail to clear once you have another chance to attend it compared to other exams. Yes, MAT is also tough but not that tough as CAT.
