The current trend is that student with good ranks get admitted to fund starved and lacking even in essential facility government medical colleges, while private medical colleges with good financial status and excellent facilities starve for good quality students. You can take an admission in any of the NIT by appearing through JEE MAINS . The form fill for MAINS is going on now . After qualifying in mains you have to appear for JEE ADVANCED by which you will be able to get a seat in an IIT. Scoring a rank within 30 thousand will give you a good seat in a good college of NIT .
