* It is always advisable to opt for lateral B.Tech course after completing diploma in any engineering field to get direct entry into the second year. Degree course will add more career opportunities for you.
* To be eligible, you need to score minimum aggregate of 60% marks in the diploma course. You need to sit for Lateral Entry Entrance Test or LEET which is conducted at state level. Some colleges and Universities too conduct their own lateral entry tests.

Usually, students take the SAT once they have decided to apply for undergrad abroad. Candidates should plan the test in such a way that they have the SAT scores with them at the time of applying to the colleges. The ideal time to apply for SAT should be after passing out from school after taking a month or two for preparation. If you are interested in technical than go for M.Tech. M.Tech from IITs will be very valuable, scoring good in GATE will open job offers in PSUs too. If you want to pursue Management and move in business field than go for MBA. Score > 90 percentile will be opens opportunity for you to get in to top B-Schools of India. If you want to pursue from any foreign university than go for GRE, get admission in MS from a good US university.
